Caledon tables 3% increase for 2025 budget

The budget recommends a property tax increase of 2 percent and an annual infrastructure levy of 1 percent to support funding gaps.

Budget Meeting Schedule

The Town of Caledon is in the process of reviewing its budget for 2025. Advancing the progress made in previous years, the 2025 budget will further support Caledon’s Strategic Plan and future growth.

The budget was presented on Tuesday, December 2 and Council met again on Tuesday, December 10 to review and propose amendments. Recommended amendments to the 2025 Budget will go to Council for final approval on Tuesday, December 17.

Meeting Location 

All the meetings will be hybrid. Members of the public have the option to participate in-person in Council Chambers at Town Hall (6311 Old Church Road) or remotely.

Budget Proposed Amendments and Fees & Charges 

  • When: General Committee – Tuesday, December 10, 2024 

  • What: Before the budget goes to the regular Council Meeting, Council will have an opportunity to debate and propose amendments to the budget, as well as the Fees and Charges By-law. Each year, the Town’s annual fees and charges are also updated as a part of the budget process.
