Elections
By March 31, 2023, candidates and registered third parties are required to file a financial statement and auditor's report with the Clerk reflecting all election campaign finances. Completed and signed financial statements may be filed electronically to legislative.services@caledon.ca or in person at Town Hall. The Town Clerk requires an appointment be made for filing. Please email legislative.services@caledon.ca to book and appointment or you can also call us at 905.584.2272 ext. 2366.
Note: If filing electronically, the original identical paper copy of the financial statement and auditor's report must be delivered to the Clerk within 10 days following the electronic submission.
The Municipal Elections Act requires that a report detailing the identification, removal and prevention of accessibility barriers is prepared and made available to the public following an election. The 2022 Post-Election Accessibility Report outlines steps the Town took to achieve this important goal. Any feedback received will assist in planning for the next municipal election.
