Public Utility Coordinating Committee

The purpose of the Public Utility Coordinating Committee (PUCC) is to ensure that new utility installation applications within the Town of Caledon’s Right-of-Way (ROW) are efficiently reviewed as to avoid conflict with other utilities. The process both determines whether the proposed installation meets standards and it avoids conflict in the planning of projects by other utilities occupying the Town’s ROW.

What is a “Municipal Access Agreement” (MAA)?

At the Town of Caledon, we prioritize transparent and efficient collaborations with utility companies through Municipal Access Agreements. Approved by Council, these agreements meticulously outline provisions for granting Municipal Consents and Road Occupancy Permits. These permissions facilitate essential utility work within our community's roadways, boulevards, and streets, ensuring both the smooth operation of utilities and the preservation of our municipal infrastructure.

Through these agreements, we uphold our commitment to fostering sustainable and cooperative relationships with utility partners, while also safeguarding the integrity and safety of our public spaces. As stewards of our community's well-being, we strive to maintain open channels of communication and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and accountability in all our endeavors.

Thank you for your interest in the MAA. Should you require further information or assistance regarding Municipal Access Agreements, please do not hesitate to contact us via email at toc.pucc.submissions@caledon.ca.
