Jennifer Innis was first elected in 2014 and is serving her second term as Town of Caledon, Regional Councillor representing Wards 3 and 4.


Jennifer is a fifth-generation Caledon resident. Her family settled in the hamlet of Mono Road in 1899 and has been farming more than 150 acres since then.

Jennifer is raising her two children in the Village of Caledon East. She holds a Degree in Political Science from the University of Guelph.

Jennifer's professional experience reflects a lifelong desire to serve the public. She has worked for a Member of Provincial Parliament, in the office of the Premier, and as Executive Assistant to the Mayor of Caledon. She is a vocal advocate for building healthy, inclusive communities, supporting organizations and initiatives that empower and invest in women and youth, such as Family Transition Place and Girls Can Too.

On January 25, 2019, Councillor Innis was elected as Chair of the Board for the Toronto and Region Conversation Authority for the 2019 to 2022 term of office. In this role, she will lead and advocate for the protection of our watershed and environment as well as promote and encourage education and connecting people to nature. At Peel Regional Council, she is serving as Vice Chair of Waste Management for a second term.
