Family Day offers free family-fun activities and holiday closures

CALEDON, ON (February 9, 2026) – This Family Day, the Town of Caledon will be hosting free events that guarantee family fun for everyone. There are some closures to keep in mind, but lots of fun activities to spend with your family.

Monday, February 16: Free Activities with Recreation Caledon

Free drop-in activities are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on February 16 at the following locations:

• Albion Bolton Community Centre
• Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness
• Caledon East Community Complex

Public Notice - Election Sign By-law Open House

The Town of Caledon is hosting an Open House regarding a new proposed Election Sign By-law and associated amendments to the Town’s existing Sign By-law. The Open House will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026, in the Caledon East Community Centre (CECC) Community Room, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

Residents and community members are invited to attend the Open House, to ask questions, and get clarification regarding the proposed election sign by-law.

Town of Caledon confirms Peel Region roads transfer will result in 73% tax increase per household

CALEDON, ON (February 4, 2026) - The Town of Caledon reaffirmed today that the proposed downloading of regional roads from Peel Region would impose approximately $80 million annually in new costs on Caledon taxpayers, following discussions at its Single Tier Transition Committee (STTC) meeting. 

Based on conservative estimates first identified in a 2023 report, this would amount to approximately 73% tax increase per household annually.

Caledon Council says no to Peel download of regional roads and waste management

CALEDON, ON (May 21, 2024) – On Tuesday during its regularly scheduled Council meeting, Caledon Council broke its year-plus commitment to confidentiality on Peel transition and called on the Transition Board to keep regional roads and waste management at the Region to protect Caledon taxpayers.
