Rachel Simnett - Recreation Operations

Meet Rachel, a member of Team Caledon and a key part of our Recreation Centre Operations team at the Caledon East Community Complex.

Rachel shares what it takes to keep our rinks in top shape for public use. From rink maintenance to that iconic zamboni ride, she’s helping make sure every skate, game, and community moment happens on the nicest ice.

 

 

Emily Quinton - Officer, Tourism and Culture

Meet Emily, Team Caledon’s resident Tourism and Culture Officer.

Emily helps put Caledon on the map, connecting local business and destinations with visitors from within and without our Town. Whether she’s promoting local cuisine or helping hikers discover hidden gems along our trails, Emily is advocating for everything Caledon has to offer.

 

 

Amber Pajtasz - Officer, Economic Development

Meet Amber Pajtasz, one of Caledon’s talented Economic Development Officers.

Amber’s day-to-day is all about helping promote Caledon’s entrepreneurial spirit, equipping local business owners and would-be business owners with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive. Working out of the award-winning Humber River Centre in Bolton, Amber is there to help shape Caledon's promising economic future.

Dan Shiel - Operator, Public Works

Meet Dan Shiel from our incredible Public Works team.

Whether it’s clearing snow, maintaining roads, parks and trails, supporting infrastructure and equipment, or helping ensure public safety — Dan and the team are always working hard behind the scenes to keep Caledon running smoothly.

 

Karen Devereaux - Crossing Guard

Meet Karen, one of Caledon’s dedicated crossing guards.

Keeping Caledon’s communities safe is a multi-faceted effort, and crossing guards like Karen are an important part of that. Every weekday morning and afternoon, Karen is out there, stop sign in hand, to help residents in her community get to and from their destinations safely - and always with a smile.

 

Rachel Kukulewich - Freedom of Information Coordinator

Meet Rachel, Caledon’s Freedom of Information Coordinator.

Information is one of the most powerful resources we have access to, and navigating all that information is Rachel’s speciality. Whenever there’s a need for information that exists outside of the public domain, it’s Rachel’s job to assess the request and fulfill it in a way that balances access and privacy.

 

Matthew Jessup - Animal Services Officer

Meet Matthew, Caledon’s Animal Services Officer!

Caledon is not only home to a diverse community of people, but also animals - both wild and domestic. His work ensure the safety of pets and people in the Town. He also closely monitors the well-being of local wildlife and conducts rescue work, providing a caring touch to the animals on their way to their new forever homes.


John Biskupski - Aquatics Lead

Meet John, Caledon’s Aquatics Lead!

John is a reassuring presence around the pool at the Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness. Whether he is keeping a watchful eye over the water or teaching residents how to swim, John makes sure that time in the pool is safe and fun for all.
