Accessible Parking

Accessible Parking in Caledon

The Town of Caledon is committed to supporting the mobility and independence of all residents, including individuals with disabilities who require accessible parking. We ask all drivers to respect accessible parking spaces and the individuals who rely on them.

Using Accessible Parking Spaces

Accessible parking spaces are located in municipal lots, private lots and on certain streets throughout Caledon. These spaces are clearly marked with signage and pavement markings, and are reserved for individuals displaying a valid Accessible Parking Permit issued by the Ministry of Transportation. You can also visit a Service Ontario Centre.

Accessible Parking Permits

Accessible Parking Permits are issued by Service Ontario, not the Town of Caledon. The permit must be:

  • Valid (not expired)
  • Displayed on the dashboard or sun visor of the vehicle
  • Clearly visible from the exterior of the vehicle

For more information or to apply for a permit, please visit Service Ontario – Accessible Parking Permits.

Parking Enforcement

Municipal Law Enforcement Officers actively enforce parking regulations to ensure accessible spaces are available to those who need them. It is an offence to:

  • Park in an accessible space without a valid permit
  • Use someone else’s permit when the authorized user is not present
  • Misuse, alter, or reproduce an accessible parking permit

Violations may result in a fine of up to $350.

Report Misuse or Blocking of Accessible Spaces

If you witness a vehicle parked in an accessible space without a valid permit, or blocking an accessible space, you can report it to the Town of Caledon’s Municipal Law Enforcement Division:
