CALEDON, ON (January 24, 2024) – Town of Caledon representatives had successful meetings with several provincial ministers at the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Conference from January 21 to 23 in Toronto. Mayor Annette Groves and Members of Council met with:

January 24, 2024 – The Town of Caledon is deeply saddened at the passing of renowned Canadian film director Norman Jewison over the weekend at the age of 97. A member of our community, Mr. Jewison enjoyed time at his 200-acre farm in Caledon when not engaged in his work in Los Angeles. In 1999, Caledon proudly recognized his contributions by honoring him as the inaugural inductee on Caledon's Walk of Fame.

Proposed 2024 Budget presented at General Committee

Town of Caledon staff presented the proposed 2024 Budget at General Committee this week. The Town’s proposed property tax increase is 3.50 per cent on the 2024 property tax bill.

Work in the proposed budget is directly linked to the Town’s 2023-2035 Strategic Plan. The plan, which has a 12 year-outlook, sets out specific actions that Caledon will strive to deliver by 2026 under four priorities.
