Notice of Open House - Bolton Rotary Performing Arts Pavilion

The Town of Caledon and the Rotary Club of Bolton are excited to announce the construction of a new Performing Arts Pavilion in Dicks Dam Park, in celebration of Bolton’s Bicentennial in 2022.

The proposed pavilion is expected to promote and encourage local musical and theatrical productions and support creative arts within the community. The Pavilion would also be used for outdoor movie nights and summer camp programs.

Project timeline

  • 2021- Council approved a capital project to establish a Bolton Performing Arts Pavilion
  • May 2024 - Town Staff received TRCA approval for the construction of Pavilion within Dicks Dam Park
  • Winter 2024 - Tendering Process Completed
  • Spring 2025 - Construction

Design and Construction

Design work is completed. Construction to begin in the spring of 2025.

Public Meeting 

A Public Meeting will be held to provide residents with details on the planned Bolton Rotary Performing Arts Pavilion being installed in Dick’s Dam Park. The Town has partnered with the Rotary Club of Bolton to construct the pavilion to celebrate the Village of Bolton’s Bicentennial in 2022.

FAQs

What is the seating capacity? 

Approximately up to 50 people.

How can a resident or group book the space?

The pavilion will be available for booking through the Town's rental booking process when construction is complete.

Does the Noise Bylaw apply to performances? If so, what's the timing?

The Noise by-law does indeed apply for all performances and bookings; permitted until 9 p.m. on weekdays and 10 p.m. on weekends.

When can the pavilion be used?

The typical rental period for the pavilion will be late spring to early fall. Any rental requests outside of this time frame will be addressed on an as-needed basis.

Who will maintain the facility? 

The Town will maintain the pavilion. This includes regular maintenance, repairs and bookings.
