This is to inform you that the Town of Caledon has received applications for an Official Plan Amendment and a Zoning By-law Amendment. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.
Applicant and Location
Applicant: Armstrong Planning & Project Management on behalf of Livingston LP
Location: 0, 12506 and 12698 Heart Lake Road
Part of Lots 20 and 21, Concession 2, EHS
Proposed Changes
The applicant has submitted an Official Plan Amendment application and a Zoning By-law Amendment application to facilitate the construction of an industrial development, comprised of four (4) industrial buildings, associated road network, stormwater management facility, and environmentally protected features.
The lands are currently designated New Employment Area, Prime Agricultural Area and Natural Heritage Features and Areas in accordance with the Town’s Official Plan. The proposed Official Plan Amendment is intended to expand the Mayfield West Rural Service Centre, and redesignate the lands to Prestige Industrial, Special Policy Area, and Environmental Policy Area that will establish a policy framework for future employment uses and for the protection of natural features.
The applicant is also proposing to rezone the lands from Agricultural (A1) and Environmental Policy Area Zone 2 (EPA 2) to site specific Prestige Industrial (MP) and Environmental Policy Area Zone 2 (EPA 2) zones that will create development standards for the development of the lands.

| Appeal Procedure |
| If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Caledon before the proposed official plan amendment/by-law is adopted/passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Caledon before the proposed official plan amendment/by-law is adopted/passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so. |
