This is to inform you that the Town of Caledon has received Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, and Draft Plan of Subdivision applications. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.

Applicant and Location

  • Applicant: Glen Schnarr & Associates Inc. on behalf of Argo Summer Valley Ltd.
  • Location: 12211, 12213 and 12231 Hurontario Street, Ward 2

Proposed Changes

The Applicant has submitted Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision applications for a residential development. The proposed project consists of a total of 73 residential units comprising of 28 single detached dwellings, and 45 townhouse units. The proposal also includes one local road, and an open space block. Access to this subdivision and an additional 8 lots are proposed immediately to the south through separate development applications in the City of Brampton.
The applicant proposes to amend the Official Plan and the Zoning By-law to permit the development of single detached, townhouse and open space land uses. The Draft Plan of Subdivision application is required to facilitate the development to ensure Town and agency technical requirements are satisfied.

 Appeal Procedure

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Caledon to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
