Family Day offers free family-fun activities and holiday closures
CALEDON, ON (February 9, 2026) – This Family Day, the Town of Caledon will be hosting free events that guarantee family fun for everyone. There are some closures to keep in mind, but lots of fun activities to spend with your family.
Monday, February 16:
Free Activities with Recreation Caledon
Free drop-in activities are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on February 16 at the following locations:
- Albion Bolton Community Centre
- Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness
- Caledon East Community Complex
- Lloyd Wilson Centennial Arena
- Southfields Community Centre

Free outdoor skating is available at our Town-managed outdoor rinks. Visit Caledon.ca/Skating for a list of rinks currently open for use.
Caledon Public Library
Celebrate Family Day with Caledon Public Library! Two CPL branches - Caledon East and Southfields Village - will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a day of family-friendly fun.

Closures on February 16, 2026:
- Town offices and non-emergency services including Animal Services, and Provincial Offences Courts in Orangeville and Caledon East.
- Caledon Public Library Branches will be closed on Sunday and Monday (with the exception of the Caledon East and Southfields Village branches on Family Day).
After-hours Emergencies
For after-hours emergencies such as downed trees on roads or flooding, call the Peel Region at 1-888-919-7800.
To report an urgent issue about a stray domestic animal (certain conditions apply) or a sick and/or injured animal, call the Town’s after-hours service at 1-800-563-7881.
For power outages or to report downed wires, call Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235. To view the status of power outages, view their outage map.
The non-emergency number for the Caledon Ontario Provincial Police is 1-888-310-1122.
If the emergency is life-threatening, call 9-1-1.
To reach a by-law officer in the evenings and on weekends you can dial 311 and choose option 3.
