April 28, 2023 (CALEDON) -- Town of Caledon Council, staff and members of the public gathered today at Town Hall to pause and observe a moment of silence in honour of the National Day of Mourning.

“The Day of Mourning remembers and honours workers who have lost their lives or were injured in workplace accidents,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “On this day we renew our commitment to safe workplaces and preventing workplace tragedies.”

Update Road Closure: Castlederg Road

Castlederg Sideroad from Mount Pleasant Road to Caledon/King Townline Road remains temporarily closed for the replacement of a large road cross culvert. Town culverts are inspected regularly and replaced at the end of their usable service life.

The new culvert will improve the flow of water, enhance the natural eco-system and be made of concrete for optimal service life.

The construction work is expected to be completed in late June 2023, weather permitting.
