On June 25, 2024, Town Council passed 11 of the 12 Rezoning Applications Under Mayoral Direction.
The Zoning By-law Amendment Applications are to amend Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2006-50, as amended, to rezone lands to provide a range of housing and land uses that aim to advance Caledon’s Housing Pledge and the prescribed provincial priority of building 1.5 million new residential units by December 2031.

The Town of Caledon has passed By-law 2024-047 to designate 16060 Airport Road as being of cultural heritage value or interest under Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act.

Council approves 11 of 12 rezoning applications in proactive step to address housing crisis

June 26, 2024 (CALEDON, ON) – At the Council Meeting on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, Council approved the rezoning of 11 of 12 development applications to provide nearly 35,000 housing units in Caledon as it prepares to grow to 300,000 residents by 2051.
