Town of Caledon welcomes two new Deputy Fire Chiefs
CALEDON, ON (August 21, 2026) – The Town of Caledon is pleased to announce the appointments of Scott Dalzell and Rocky Mino as Deputy Chiefs with Caledon Fire and Emergency Services, effective September 9, 2026.
Following an extensive recruitment process, Scott Dalzell has been appointed Deputy Chief of Community Risk Reduction and Administration, while Rocky Mino has been appointed Deputy Chief of Training, Fleet and Emergency Management.
"We are excited to welcome Deputy Dalzell and Deputy Mino to our leadership team," said Judith DSouza Soares, Commissioner of Community Services, Town of Caledon. "Their diverse experience, collaborative leadership styles, and commitment to service excellence will help support our firefighters, strengthen our operations, and enhance the services we provide to residents."
Dalzell brings 19 years of progressive fire service experience with Toronto Fire Services and Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services. Throughout his career, he has advanced through a variety of operational and leadership roles, including Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, Captain in the Fire Investigation Division, and Division Chief of Community Risk Reduction. He is recognized as a forward-thinking leader who combines integrity, people-focused leadership, and data-informed decision-making to drive operational excellence and enhance community safety.
Mino brings more than 21 years of progressive fire service experience with Markham Fire and Emergency Services. His career has included leadership roles as Fire Prevention Officer, Firefighter, Captain, Training Officer, and Division Chief of Training. He has earned a strong reputation for leading with integrity, supporting and developing his teams, and driving innovation to strengthen service delivery and community safety.

Dalzell and Mino will officially join Caledon Fire and Emergency Services on September 9, 2026.
