Town of Caledon to sign Memorandum of Understanding with Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, unveil Orange Crosswalk

The Town of Caledon and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (MCFN) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding – a significant step in strengthening their relationship.

Following the signing, an Orange Crosswalk – installed by the Town of Caledon in partnership with MCFN – will be unveiled. The Orange Crosswalk honours Indigenous children of the residential school system and acknowledges the strength and resilience of the survivors and their descendants. The crosswalk acts as a permanent reminder of the role that each of us plays in advancing reconciliation within our community.

Mayor Allan Thompson, Chief Stacey LaForme, senior leadership from the Town of Caledon, Council and MCFN representatives will be in attendance.
