Town of Caledon highlights economic momentum in 2025 Economic Development Annual Report

CALEDON, ON (June 3, 2026) – The Town of Caledon has released its 2025 Economic Development Annual Report, showcasing strong economic momentum, major investments and a clear, long-term vision for growth.

The report highlights a record $316 million in commercial and industrial investment in 2025, alongside continued expansion across key sectors including logistics, agri-food, tourism and advanced manufacturing.

Caledon’s economy is being driven by a combination of global investment attraction, local entrepreneurship, and innovation initiatives. The Humber River Centre, developed in partnership with Toronto Metropolitan University’s DMZ, continues to strengthen the Town’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing founders with access to mentorship, programming and growth opportunities.

The report also underscores the growing impact of tourism and destination-based investment. Major events such as the RBC Canadian Open generated significant economic activity and helped elevate Caledon’s profile on the national and international stage.

“This report reflects the strong momentum we are seeing across Caledon’s economy,” said Eric Lucic, Commissioner of Planning and Development & Chief Planner, Town of Caledon. “It reinforces our position as an investment-ready community driven by innovation, strong partnerships, and sustainable growth.”

The 2025 edition marks an important step in promoting Caledon’s value proposition externally and reinforcing its position as one of the fastest growing and most competitive municipalities in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area.
