Town of Caledon appoints Adrian Cammaert as Director, Policy and Strategic Planning
CALEDON, ON (June 10, 2026) – The Town of Caledon announces the appointment of Adrian Cammaert as Director, Policy and Strategic Planning effective Monday, June 15, 2026.
Adrian brings more than 20 years of progressive experience in municipal planning and private consulting, with a strong track record of leading complex development, policy and growth management initiatives.
Most recently, Adrian served as Manager of Planning Services with the Town of Newmarket, where he led multidisciplinary teams across development planning, long-range policy and cultural heritage. In this role, he held a key leadership role in advancing transit-supportive growth, guiding major planning projects, and supporting Council priorities during a period of significant change and transition.
“Adrian is a highly respected planning leader with experience in delivering results in complex municipal environments,” said Eric Lucic, Commissioner of Planning and Development & Chief Planner. “His expertise in growth management, policy development and team leadership will be invaluable as Caledon continues to grow and plan for its future.”
A Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and Full Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP), Adrian also holds a Certified Municipal Manager (CMM III) designation. His professional and community involvement includes leadership roles in industry organizations and participation in provincial planning forums focused on emerging issues and innovation in the profession.

As Director, Policy and Strategic Planning, Adrian will oversee the Town’s policy planning services, including long-range policy planning, Future Caledon, heritage planning, the Housing Accelerator Fund program and the GIS services, helping guide Caledon’s growth in alignment with Council’s strategic priorities.
