Town of Caledon announces Civic Awards Program Winners

May 23, 2025 (CALEDON, ON) – The Town of Caledon is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Civic Awards Program, an annual initiative that honours residents who have made a significant impact on the development and advancement of recreational sports, arts and culture, environmental leadership, and community and social services.

“Civic Award recipients exemplify what it means to give back to your community,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “Their dedication, leadership and passion for making Caledon a better place is inspiring. I invite all residents to join us at Caledon Day to celebrate these outstanding individuals who help shape the heart and soul of our town.”

The Civic Awards Program includes two broad categories:

  • Volunteer Service Awards recognize Caledon residents whose efforts have significantly contributed to the community in areas such as recreational sports, arts and culture, environmental initiatives, and social services.
  • Citizen Achievement Awards honour residents who have been recognized or competed at the Provincial, National or International level in sport or arts and culture. This category also includes the Distinguished Citizen Award and the Community Champion Award.

Winners were selected by the Community Recognition Task Force, a panel of five community volunteers with experience in local initiatives, who reviewed and evaluated all nominations and provided recommendations to Town Council.

The award winners will be officially recognized and celebrated at Caledon Day on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Residents are encouraged to come out, take part in the festivities, and help celebrate the accomplishments of their fellow community members.
