Town of Caledon announces 2026 Civic Awards Program Winners

June 4, 2026 (CALEDON, ON) – The Town of Caledon is pleased to recognize the recipients of the 2026 Civic Awards Program, which celebrates residents whose contributions have enriched the community through excellence in recreation and sport, arts and culture, environmental stewardship, and community service. These annual awards highlight individuals whose efforts help strengthen and enhance the quality of life across Caledon.

“Each year, the Civic Awards shine a spotlight on the remarkable people who make a lasting difference in our community,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “Through volunteerism, leadership, and a commitment to serving others, these recipients help foster a stronger, more connected Caledon. We look forward to recognizing and celebrating their achievements with the community at Caledon Day.”

The Civic Awards Program includes two broad categories:

  • Volunteer Service Awards recognize Caledon residents whose efforts have significantly contributed to the community in areas such as recreational sports, arts and culture, environmental initiatives, and social services.
  • Citizen Achievement Awards honour residents who have been recognized or competed at the Provincial, National or International level in sport or arts and culture. This category also includes the Distinguished Citizen Award and the Community Champion Award.

A Community Recognition Task Force, made up of dedicated community volunteers, reviewed all nominations and assessed candidates based on their contributions to the community. Their recommendations were then presented to Town Council for approval.

The award winners will be officially recognized and celebrated at Caledon Day on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Residents are encouraged to come out, take part in the festivities, and help celebrate the accomplishments of their fellow community members.
