Three new fire trucks to enhance firefighter safety and emergency response
CALEDON, ON (October 23, 2026) – The Town of Caledon is strengthening its fire and emergency response capabilities with the delivery of three new fire trucks for the Caledon Fire and Emergency Services (CFES).
“Investing in modern fire apparatus is an important part of ensuring our firefighters have the equipment they need to respond safely and effectively,” said Fire Chief Dave Pelayo, Town of Caledon. “These new trucks are important improvements to firefighter safety, operational capabilities and environmental performance, helping us continue to deliver reliable fire and emergency services to Caledon residents.”
The new vehicles include larger fire pumps, increased onboard water capacity and occupant seating, improved braking and electrical systems, and rollover protection with airbags. Efficient diesel engines will also help reduce emissions.
“Maintaining safe, reliable and effective emergency services is essential as Caledon continues to grow,” said Judith D’Souza Soares, Commissioner of Community Services, Town of Caledon. “These investments support our commitment to service excellence and ensure fire services continue to evolve alongside the needs of our community.”
The three vehicles will be assigned to the following stations:
- Squad 301 – Station 301 in Alton
- Tanker 307 – Station 307 in Valleywood
- Squad 308 – Station 308 in Mono Mills
The new vehicles support the Town’s ongoing efforts to ensure fire and emergency services are equipped to serve Caledon today and into the future.
