The Town of Caledon is developing a Site Alteration By-law as part of Caledon's Housing Action Plan, reflecting our commitment to expediting post-approval development processes.

The Open House previously scheduled to be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 will now be held on Monday, September 29, 2025.

Open House Details:

  • Date: Monday, September 29, 2025
  • Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Presentation: 6:30 p.m.
  • Location: Caledon East Community Complex, Hall A and B (6215 Old Church Road, Caledon)

The proposed changes are being made in alignment with Caledon's Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) agreement.

This by-law aims to regulate the placing/removal of fill, topsoil and grade alterations on land to protect drainage patterns, the environment and public safety. It outlines requirements for permits, public notice, enforcement and soil quality compliance under provincial laws.

We invite residents to attend the open house to learn more about the proposed bylaw, ask questions and provide feedback. Town staff will be available to discuss the draft bylaw and its implications.
