Public Notice: McLaughlin Road Municipal Class EA - Public Consultation Centre 1

Following the recommendations of the 2024 Multi-Modal TransportationMaster Plan (2024), the Town of Caledon (Town) has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) to evaluate options for urbanization and widening from 2 to 4 lanes of Mclaughlin Road from Lippa Drive to King Street. The study area is divided into two phases. Section A (Phase 1) of the study area extends between Lippa Drive and Did School Road, and Section B (Phase 2) of the study area extends between Did School Road and King Street.

Study Process:

The study is being carried out in accordance with the requirements of a Schedule C Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Municipal Engineers Association, 2024), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act

Public Consultation Centre #1

Your input is a key component of this study. The first Public Consultation Centre (PCC) will be held on June 17, 2026 to present information about the project, existing conditions and the recommended road widening. The PCC will be held as a drop-in style open house, and members of the study team will be available to answer your questions. Information materials will also be made available on the project webpage at haveyoursaycaledon.ca/mclaughlinroadea following the PCC.
