Applicant and Location
Applicant: The Corporation of the Town of Caledon
Location: File # POPA 2025-0009 (Inglewood Secondary Plan): Inglewood Village and Area
File # RZ 2025-0008 (Zoning): 1, 2, 5, 6, 10, 11, 16, 17, 20, 24, 25 and 28 McColl Drive, plus 15825 and 15835 McLaughlin Road
Proposed Changes
The proposed amendments are partially in response to Niagara Escarpment Commission Amendment UA 54, a minor rounding out of the Inglewood Settlement Boundary to include the 12 residential properties on McColl Drive and the property on McLaughlin Road containing the Inglewood Community Centre/Library and Bethell Hospice. The expanded Inglewood settlement area boundary is also identified in the Region of Peel Official Plan.
The proposed Official Plan Amendment is to remove the Inglewood Secondary Plan from the 1978 Caledon Official Plan, as amended, and amend the Future Caledon Official Plan to add a new Inglewood Secondary Plan. This is a minor update and translation of the existing Secondary Plan into the Future Caledon framework.
The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to add appropriate zoning provisions for the expansion area lands (i.e., McColl Drive, the community centre/library and hospice) to Zoning By-law 2006-50 so that those lands may be removed from Niagara Escarpment Plan development control.
