A statutory Public Meeting will be held to consider proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.
Please be advised that the Town of Caledon is offering a Hybrid Committee and Council Meeting model with options for you to engage with Council, including in-person or virtual opportunities.

Proposed Changes
The applicant has submitted Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment applications to permit the operation of an above-water sand and gravel aggregate extraction facility by expanding the current operation to the east. The lands are currently designated as Prime Agricultural Area and Supporting Features and Areas, and zoned Agricultural (A1).
The Official Plan Amendment application proposes to designate the site as Prime Agricultural Area, Site-Specific Exception to permit a mineral aggregate operation.
The Zoning By-law Amendment application proposes to rezone the lands to an Extractive Industrial (MX-) Exception zone and an Environmental Protection Policy Area One (EPA1-) Exception Zone, under By-law 2006-50, as amended.

Appeal Procedure:
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Land
Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the
Town of Caledon before the proposed by-law is passed, the
person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of
Caledon before the proposed by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
