This is to inform you that the Town of Caledon has received an application for an Official Plan Amendment. A statutory Public Meeting will be held to provide those interested an opportunity to make representation with respect to this application. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.
Please be advised that the Town of Caledon offers a Hybrid Committee and Council Meeting model with options for you to engage with Planning and Development Committee, including in-person or virtual opportunities.

Applicant and Location
Applicant: Malone Given Parsons Ltd., on behalf of Mayfield Tullamore Landowners Group Inc.
Location: 217 hectares (536 acres) are bounded by Old School Road to the north,
Torbram Road to the east, Mayfield Road to the south, and midblock between Bramalea Road
and Dixie Road to the west.
Proposed Changes
The applicant has submitted an Official Plan Amendment application (File: POPA 2024-0006) for the proposed Mayfield Tullamore Secondary Plan. The proposed Secondary Plan has an area of approximately 609 hectares (1,505 acres), with approximately 217 hectares (536 acres) consisting of lands within the Greenbelt Plan Area and existing natural heritage features. The applicant is proposing a net developable area of approximately 392 hectares (969 acres).
The proposed development comprises approximately 7,650 new homes (a mix of detached, semi-detached, townhouse, and apartment dwellings) through future development applications. It provides for approximately 2,000 population-related jobs. A conceptual road network is also shown on the proposed Land Use Plan.

Appeal Procedure |
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so. |
