Notice of Construction: Temporary Speed Hump Installation

As part of our ongoing commitment to road safety and traffic calming, temporary speed humps are being installed at a variety of locations across Caledon. These locations were identified through Council and resident feedback, as well as subsequent studies conducted by staff to assess and prioritize areas based on traffic conditions and safety concerns. The goal of these installations is to reduce vehicle speeds and enhance safety in residential neighborhoods. 

Construction schedule (weather permitting): 

To be completed by Friday, August 8 

  • Ward 3:

    • Cranston Drive
    • Walker Road West

To be completed between Monday, August 11 to Friday, August 22 

  • Ward 3: 

    • Henry Wilson Drive

  • Ward 4: 

    • Brawton Drive

  • Ward 5:

    • Wakely Boulevard
    • Ellwood Drive West
    • Landsbridge Street

  • Ward 6: 

    • Thornbury Road
    • Deer Valley Drive
    • Foundry Street
    • Silver Valley Drive

Lane restrictions will be in effect while the installation work is underway. Please follow all directional signage and yield to oncoming traffic in the construction zone. 

The temporary speed humps will be removed prior to November 1, 2025, the start of the winter road maintenance season in Caledon.
