Notice of Construction - Palgrave Park Skating Rink and Washroom Facility

To address the closure of the existing skating pond within Palgrave, a new outdoor skating facility is being constructed within Palgrave Park at 17293 Mount Hope Road. Work includes a new outdoor skating rink complete with ice chilling system, associated building for ice maintenance and accessible washrooms, lighting, seating, and pathways. The existing washroom building will be converted into storage for the park. The skating rink is to be completed for use this winter, while the remaining works (i.e. storage building and landscaping) are to be completed in Spring 2026.

No road or field closures are required and temporary port-o-lets have been provided for the duration of construction. The area around Field #1 and the Pavilion will be reduced due to construction fencing around the proximity of the construction works. The existing playground will be removed as part of construction and is to be replaced in 2026, however the existing swings will remain for the duration of construction. Neighbouring properties of the park can expect construction noise at times throughout the day for the duration of the project.
