Notice of Application - Proposed Official Plan Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision

This is to inform you that the Town of Caledon has received applications for Official Plan Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.

Applicant and Location:

Applicant: SGL Planning & Design Inc. on behalf of United Holdings Inc.

Location: 9408 Columbia Way, 0 Mount Hope Road, and 14320 Mount Hope Road

                 The site is located on the northwest corner of Mount Hope Road and Columbia Way.

Proposed Changes:

The applicant has submitted an Official Plan Amendment application (File: POPA 2025-0004) to create the Mount Hope West Secondary Plan and has also submitted a Draft Plan of Subdivision application (File: 21T-25003C). The proposed Mount Hope West Secondary Plan has an area of approximately 31 hectares (76.60 acres) of the net developable area. The proposed amendment will redesignate the lands to Neighbourhood Area, Parkette, and Natural Features and Areas designations. A conceptual road network is also shown on the proposed Land Use Plan. 

The proposed plan of subdivision is comprised of a mix of single detached, semi-detached, townhouse and apartment dwellings, a neighbourhood park, a commercial area, and a stormwater management facility. The proposed subdivision is intended to facilitate approximately 700 to 1000 new homes.
