This is to inform you that the Town of Caledon has received an application for an Official Plan Amendment. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.

Applicant: Malone Given Parsons Ltd. on behalf of Innis Lake Secondary Plan Area Landowners c/o Mattamy (Innis Lake) Limited

Location: 12351 Innis Lake Road and 12250 Centreville Creek Road.  

Part Lots 1,2, Concession 2 (Albion) Part Lot 2, Concession 2 (Albion) on Plan 43R-35944

Proposed Changes

The applicant has submitted an Official Plan Amendment application to create the Innis Lake Secondary Plan. The proposed Innis Lake Secondary Plan has an approximate area of 409 hectares (1,010 acres). The applicant is proposing to redesignate the lands to Neighbourhood Area, Urban Corridor, and Natural Features. The intent of the Secondary Plan is to facilitate approximately 6,680 residential units consisting of single/semi-detached units, secondary units, street townhomes, back-to-back/stacked townhomes and apartment units.

A neighbourhood centre at the northeast intersection of Centreville Creek Road and Mayfield, as well as an urban corridor will have focus on providing higher density and provide retail and service commercial uses to benefit the surrounding area.

 Appeal Procedure
 

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Caledon before the proposed official plan amendment/by-law is adopted/passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Caledon before the proposed official plan amendment/by-law is adopted/passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
