Caledon advances global investment opportunities at Hannover Messe 2026
CALEDON, ON (April 27, 2026) – The Town of Caledon is strengthening its position as a destination for global investment following a successful presence at Hannover Messe 2026 – one of the world’s leading industrial trade fairs.
As part of the Team Canada Delegation, Caledon’s Business Attraction & Investment team engaged directly with international companies, investors and industry leaders to promote the community’s strategic advantages for growth and expansion in North America.
This work supports Caledon’s growing foreign direct investment strategy and builds on recent international outreach, including the mission to Italy in 2025 – demonstrating a coordinated approach to attracting investment that supports long-term economic growth and local job creation.
“Hannover Messe places Caledon firmly on the global investment map,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “The relationships we’re building with international partners are opening the door to real opportunities – attracting investment, creating jobs and driving sustainable economic growth for our community now and into the future.”
During the event, the team held 41 meetings, including 23 with companies exploring potential expansion opportunities and seeking to learn more about locating in Caledon. These discussions focused on key sectors such as advanced manufacturing, automation, energy systems and industrial innovation – areas aligned with the Town’s economic development priorities.
“Participating in Hannover Messe allows us to connect directly with companies actively considering expansion and investment,” said Eric Lucic, Commissioner of Planning & Development. “These conversations help position Caledon as a strategic location within the Greater Toronto Area, with the land, infrastructure and workforce needed to support long-term business success.”
The Town will continue to advance discussions with companies engaged during the event, supporting next steps in site selection and investment attraction in the months ahead.
