CALEDON, ON (July 26, 2023) – Today, Council adopted the Town of Caledon’s 2023 - 2035 Strategic Plan - a collaborative strategy that will shape Caledon’s future over the next 12 years.

The Strategic Plan has the vision that Caledon offers the best of rural and urban life for everyone and commits Council and Town staff to inclusivity, collaboration and measurability as they work to achieve the goals identified in the plan.

Town of Caledon recruiting staff for newly expanded Caledon East Community Complex

July 19, 2023 (CALEDON, ON) – The Caledon East Community Complex (CECC) is almost ready to open, the programming is set, now all that’s needed is a team of eager staff to help bring the newly expanded facility to life!

Throughout the coming weeks, the Town of Caledon will be recruiting staff to fill a number of part-time positions. New staff will help run recreation programming and help operate the 52,000 square-foot expanded CECC.

New volunteer firefighter recruits join Caledon Fire and Emergency Services team

July 17, 2023 (CALEDON, ON) – The Town of Caledon Fire and Emergency Services department welcomed 19 new volunteer firefighters to the team at a graduation ceremony held this evening at Station 302 in Bolton, the second graduating class of 2023.

Sister City Agreement with Town of Isola del Liri Signed

Today, the Sister City Agreement with the Town of Caledon and the Town of Isola del Liri in Italy was signed. The Town sent a delegation to Isola del Liri in August 2022 and continues to develop the relationship between the two towns.

Federal Government and Rogers announce funding to complete broadband expansion in Caledon

July 12, 2023 – The Town of Caledon is pleased to share that Rogers has received federal funding to complete Caledon’s broadband expansion project – delivering high-speed internet to every Caledon household by the end of 2025.

The Town endorsed Rogers’ application for funding from the Federal Government’s Universal Broadband Fund, which supports internet projects in rural and remote communities across Canada.
