Tamarack Subdivision: Environmental Assessment

THE STUDYThe Town of Caledon has initiated a Schedule ‘B’ Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study to address drainage issues in the Tamarack Estates subdivision.
THE PROCESSIn order to conduct field investigations, “permission to enter” agreements will be sought with landowners in the subdivision. Once alternatives have been identified, a public information centre (PIC) will be held, most likelyin the fall of 2019 (stay tuned for details).

A public meeting will be held on Tuesday April 23, 2019 in Council Chambers at Town Hall to consider a Plan of Subdivision (File Number 21T-18002C) and Zoning By-law Amendment (File Number RZ 18-06).

Storm Water Management Pond Retrofit

A new spillway will be retrofitted at the pond at Kennedy and Abbotside Way. The work entails excavating the existing spillway and installing a stone lined spillway to prevent erosion. The spillway will release/divert overflowing pond water into nearby streams.
No closures will be required throughout the duration of the project, but residents are reminded to keep a safe distance from possible equipment and machinery in the area. The work is anticipated to commence:
