Caledon continues to make progress against illegal trucking

CALEDON, ON (November 03, 2023) – The Town of Caledon has made significant progress in halting operations and achieving compliance from two illegal transportation depots in the Mayfield area.

On October 20th, the Town obtained a Superior Court Injunction against 2721146 Ontario Inc. for operations on 8242 Mayfield Road that oppose the Town’s zoning and fill bylaws. Please be advised that Queen Street North, Centennial Drive and Sterne Street, will be closed on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from approximately 12:30 – 12:45 p.m. and again from 1:45 – 2:00 p.m. to facilitate the Bolton Remembrance Day Service march.

October 31, 2023 – With the end of Daylight Savings Time on Sunday, November 5, residents are reminded to test smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms when turning clocks back by one hour. Change the Hour, Check the Power.  If necessary, replace the batteries or the entire unit. All alarms (electrically powered or battery) should be replaced after 10 years.
