GoodLot Farmstead Brewing Co., founded by Gail and Phil Winters, makes fresh, hyper-localTM, estate-quality ales and lagers.

In late 2009, Phil and Gail spent the winter doing research on small scale specialty crop farming. Phil decided to go to the U.S. to complete a course in hop production. They both decided to focus on local craft hop production.

In preparation, they began working their soil in 2010 and built their first trellis system and planted their first hops in 2011.

The Town of Caledon welcomes Amazon to our growing business community.

“We are thrilled to have Amazon join Caledon’s corporate family," said Mayor Allan Thompson. "A priority this term of Council was to help secure companies that will provide good paying, long term, stable jobs and contribute to the well-being of our community as good corporate citizens. In partnership with the Region of Peel, the Town of Caledon is conducting for the third time a door-to-door survey of businesses within the Town of Caledon. You may recall completing this survey in 2014 and 2016.

We strongly encourage your participation as the survey attempts to gather key business and employment information that is used to inform Regional and local municipal policy directions.

The information is used for a variety of purposes, including:

Aimee Alabaster: It’s all about community and learning

On the north edge of Caledon Village, a 1000 foot long private driveway on Highway 10 leads to Alabaster Acres and Aimee Alabaster’s farmhouse that she tells us is almost as old as Canada itself.

Surrounded by expansive farmland, Alabaster Acres is situated on about 100 acres and backs onto woodland providing privacy and a view of tall gorgeous trees.
