The Town of Caledon Council approved the 2017 Budget during the Town Council meeting on December 20, 2016, setting the stage for Town services and capital projects for 2017 and beyond. For the average home in Caledon, assessed at $522,000, this blended residential tax increase of 2.45% means a yearly tax increase of $112.87.

Federal and Provincial governments announce funding to support broadband access to Caledon and beyond

The Federal and Provincial governments are investing $90 million dollars each in the Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) project.  SWIFT supports the expansion of access to broadband by delivering fibre optic coverage to over 350 communities across southwestern Ontario, including Caledon. The total project cost is estimated at $281 million.

Stop by a Caledon recreation centre to write well-wishes on a Town flag for local athletes competing in this summer’s Olympic and Paralympic Games.
