Province of Ontario transfers Provincial Offences Part III and Part IX prosecutions to Town

CALEDON, ON (February 26, 2024) – Effective March 4, Part III and Part IX prosecutions under the Provincial Offences Act are being transferred to Town of Caledon Prosecution Services from the Province of Ontario.

Does this transfer of services impact court operations or existing appointments?

No, the transfer will not interrupt court operations or existing appointments. Caledon Prosecution Services and the Crown Attorney’s office are working closely to ensure a successful transition of duties.

Revised Draft Official Plan Now Available

The Town of Caledon’s proposed Future Caledon Official Plan is approaching the finish line. A revised draft is available on Have Your Say Caledon for public review. Changes to the document address feedback from last fall, as well as the Province’s revised approval of the Region of Peel Official Plan.

On March 5, 2024, the Town is hosting an open house and public meeting about the latest draft of the Future Caledon Official Plan. No decision will be made on March 5.

The Town of Caledon needs your input on final recommendations for its Active Transportation Master Plan (ATMP) to encourage residents and visitors to walk, bike, hike and become more active as they live, work and play in Caledon. This plan is to create a walkable, bikeable and trail-friendly community for people of all ages and abilities throughout Caledon.

August 2, 2023 - The Town of Caledon is pleased to announce Nathan Hyde has been appointed the new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at the Town of Caledon.

The following road segments are scheduled to undergo road rehabilitation which includes road base improvements, new pavement and roadside drainage enhancements to local ditches and driveway culverts:
