Council approves 11 of 12 rezoning applications in proactive step to address housing crisis

June 13, 2024 (CALEDON, ON) – On June 6, 2024, Ontario passed Bill 200, Homeowner Protection Act that amended several pieces of legislation including the Ontario Heritage Act, providing an extension of two more years for municipalities to issue notices of intention to designate listed, non-designated heritage properties before they must be removed from the municipal Heritage Register.
