Bird flu confirmed at storm water ponds in Bolton and Southfields Village

(January 24, 2025) CALEDON, ON – Caledon’s Municipal Law Enforcement division confirms that there is an outbreak of Avian Influenza (bird flu) at the storm water ponds in Bolton and Southfields Village. Reports from the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative (CWHC) indicate that the Avian Influenza is from dead geese found near the ponds. There is no transmission to humans reported so far.
