Daylight savings begins on Sunday, March 12, 2017 and Caledon Fire & Emergency Services is recommending residents install new batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when they change their clocks this weekend.

New burn permit application offers more choice, convenience

Property owners in Caledon can now buy a burn permit from a newly updated online application that offers more choice and the convenience of 7/24 availability.

“Our residents want to access Town services when it makes sense for THEM,” said Mayor Allan Thompson.  “With our online burn permit application they don’t have to make a trip during the day or fill out paperwork. They can go online anytime and get a permit, fast.”

In partnership with ServiceOntario, Caledon joins a growing number of municipalities to launch BizPaL, a free, online portal for permits and licences.

Statistics Canada to survey residents of the Town of Caledon

Statistics Canada will be conducting a telephone survey on behalf of the Town of Caledon from February 27 to March 3, 2017. Statistics Canada interviewers will contact approximately 2,000 randomly selected households by telephone in Caledon.
