Active and healthy living is our commitment to the Town of Caledon community. We offer a variety of activities keeping safe while being active.

Each fitness centre provides cardio and weight machines along with drop-in fitness classes. Qualified staff are available to answer questions and help get you started. 

 Fieldhouse (Fitness Centre)

Locations:

  • Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness
  • Caledon East Community Complex 
  • Southfields Community Centre 

Our fitness centres offer full facilities featuring cardio and updated strength equipment plus space for body weight and free weight workouts. 

Fitness Centre Hours of Operation (Town-wide)

Monday to Friday: 5:45 a.m. - 10:45 p.m. 
Saturday and Sunday: 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. 

Note: The facility closes (change rooms and fitness areas) at the same time as the fitness centre. Patrons must exit the facility by the above noted times. 

Please review Guidelines at the facilities prior to use. 

Adult Orientations

Workout regularly and want some expert advice or new to fitness and require an overview of equipment. 

 

To book an Adult Orientation at a Customer Service desk, or by calling 905-584-2272 ext. 7327. 

 

Orientations are free of charge to members. 

 

What to Bring?

 

  • Come ready for a workout with athletic shoes, proper gym attire and a refillable water bottle.
  • Lockers are provided and you should bring a lock. Please leave valuables at home. 
  • List of questions and an idea of fitness goals!

 

 

Youth Orientations

Youth Orientations are free with an All-Access, Fitness or Student Summer Membership.

 

To get started a Youth Orientation Request form and Get Active Questionnaire must be completed by the youth and parent/legal guardian at either Caledon East Community Centre, Southfields Community Centre or Caledon Centre for Recreation & Wellness.

 

Youth Orientations are 60-minutes in length and conducted by a Personal Trainer. The session provides information to be active in a safe setting including use of equipment, techniques, fitness etiquette, and facility guidelines.

 

What to Bring?

  • If you are a member, please bring your membership card. Non-members are required to pay for the Youth Orientation. 

 

Participants aged 17 years and younger must be directly supervised by a parent/guardian 18 years of age or older, unless they have had a previous (Youth) Fieldhouse Orientation.

 

Note: Youth and student memberships must be purchased in person, at a Recreation facility. A parent/guardian must be present for any membership purchase for individuals 17 years and under.

Drop-in Fitness Classes

The Town of Caledon offers a variety of in-person drop-in fitness classes.

Certified Fitness Instructors lead in-person classes and are present to ensure safe exercises. Meet new friends, learn new skills and improve your fitness.

All drop-in classes are on a walk-in, first come first-serve basis. It’s as simple as swiping your membership card at the scanning station or paying for your single visit in-person. 

Check-in times:
- Members can check into a scheduled activity 30 minutes in advance of the start time. 
- 10 x Pass holders, or those paying for their single visit in-person can check into a scheduled activity 15 minutes in advance of the start time.

To ensure participants warm-up and avoid class disruptions, participants arriving 10 minutes after the class starts will be denied entry.

 Personal Training 

Achieve your fitness goals with a personal trainer.

Having a trainer will provide a progressive plan, exercise direction and correction, plus the motivation we all need to keep active and committed. 

  • Complete on-line personal training form 
  • Purchase three personal training sessions within your Town of Caledon Recreation Account 
  • Complete the Get Active Questionnaire - link will be sent with your registration confirmation email 
  • A certified Personal Trainer from the Town of Caledon will contact you to set up your first appointment 
  • All sessions must be used within one year from date of purchase

 Squash

Two squash courts are available for booking, in 40-minute intervals.

Location: Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness

 

Booking a Squash Court

Book a court for your visit by calling 905-584-2272 ext. 7327. Alternatively, visit a Customer Service desk at your local recreation centre.

Racquet and Ball Rentals

Racquets and balls are available for rental for the duration of your visit. The cost is $5.00 (including tax).

Rental items will be disinfected between use. Please visit the Customer Service desk at the Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness for more information.

Amenity Access

When booking a squash court, you will also have access to the fieldhouse for the duration of your booking.

Note: Access to the fieldhouse and squash courts is permitted for aged 11+ years.

Indoor Walking Tracks 

Stay active and stay safe on the indoor walking track. 

Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness

The Caledon Centre walking track is available for Adults 55+ and members with a Fitness or All-Access Membership.

 

Prior to use please read guidelines posted at the facility. 

Caledon East Community Complex
The Caledon East walking track is available for those 11 years of age and older. Participants must purchase a Caledon East Walking Track Membership, Fitness, All-Access Membership or visit by paying the drop-in fee. 

At Caledon East, Adults 55+ can access the walking track for free during designated times. Enroll in a 'free' Walking Track Membership to get access: 

Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Note: For use outside of free hours, Adults 55+ can purchase a Caledon East Walking Track membership and use anytime. Please refer to the Membership page for more information. 

Strollers will be permitted on the Caledon East Walking Track during specific days and times. Adults must purchase a Caledon East Walking Track Membership, Fitness, All-Access Membership or a single visit drop-in fee. Corporate Fitness

What to Bring

Bring a refillable water bottle, the refillable water stations are available. 

Participants are asked to bring clean indoor athletic shoes. Please leave your personal belongings in the lockers. Bags are not permitted in the fitness areas. Please leave valuables at home.
