With the Province moving to the Step 3 of the re-opening roadmap, outdoor recreational amenities remain open. Indoor programs, activities and fitness at select recreation centres will begin starting July 23. Check back for updates. Registration begins starting Monday, July 19, 2021.

Active and healthy living is our commitment to the the Town of Caledon community. We offer a variety of activities keeping safe while being active.

Each fitness area provides a cardio and weight machines along with areas for body weight exercise and stretching. Qualified staff are available to answer questions and help get you started. 

Fitness Fieldhouse Booking

 Fieldhouse

Fitness fieldhouse's will be open for 90-minute bookings with designated time between to allow for proper disinfection.

You may arrive at any point during your time slot; however, you must leave at the end of the pre-booked time. All participants must book visits in advance. 

Equipment use is modified to ensure safety measures for users and staff. Some equipment is not available to allow for social distancing. Equipment that is difficult to clean (i.e. foam rollers, yoga blocks, straps, ropes, etc.), has been removed. 

Fieldhouse's are located at the Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness, and Southfields Community Centre. 

 

Cleaning Information
The Town of Caledon has implemented stringent cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Staff will be disinfecting equipment between 90-minute bookings. In addition, participants are asked to assist by wiping equipment after use, using provided wipes stationed throughout the fieldhouse.
Safety Guidelines
  1. Masks must be worn entering and exiting the facility and when moving between exercise equipment.
  2. Participants are asked to assist by wiping equipment after use, using provided wipes stationed throughout the fieldhouse.
  3. Follow traffic markers and directional signs.
  4. Only touch the equipment (dumbbells, bands) that you intend to use.
  5. Congregating and socializing in the fieldhouse, studio and hallway is not permitted.
  6. Leave the facility immediately after workout.
  7. No food permitted on site.
  8. Equipment has been moved and some equipment is not available to ensure two meter distancing from one another.
  9. Difficult to clean equipment has been removed (i.e. foam rollers, yoga blocks, straps, ropes, yoga mats, boxing gloves, etc.).
  10. Track is temporarily closed as the space is required for social distancing practices.
Arriving at the Facility

Upon arriving to the facility and completing mandatory screening proceed to main entry of the facility and follow directional paths to the fitness area.

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled visit.

What to Bring

The refillable water stations are available. Drinking fountains are not available for use.

Participants are asked to come 'workout ready'. Clean bins will be provided for personal belongings as change rooms and lockers are not available at this time. Please leave valuables at home. 

Fieldhouse Orientations

Orientations for adults and youth will be available to book online 72 hours in advance of the available session. 

Participants aged 17 years and younger must be directly supervised by a parent/guardian 18 years of age or older; unless they have had a previous Fieldhouse Orientation (Youth).

Cancellations

If you would like to cancel your visit, please contact us at (905)584-2272 x.7327 and we will be happy to assist.

Cancellation requests received one hour (or earlier) of the scheduled time will receive a credit to your recreation account.  

Cancellations within the hour or once the event has started are considered a ‘no-show’. If you incur two or more ‘no-shows’ within a two-week period, your booking privileges may be suspended for five days.

 Personal Training - Indoor, Outdoor & Virtual

Achieve your 2021 fitness goals with indoor, outdoor and/or virtual training.

Outdoor sessions will be held close to Southfields Community Centre and Caledon Centre for Recreation & Wellness.

Training sessions will include, assessment and exercises you can do with limited to no equipment. Having a trainer will provide a progressive plan, exercise direction and correction, plus the motivation we all need to keep active and committed. 

Purchase three 45-minute sessions for $100.00 before August 31, 2021.

  • Complete on-line personal training form 
  • Purchase three personal training sessions within your Town of Caledon Recreation Account 
  • Complete the Get Active Questionnaire - link will be sent with your registration confirmation email 
  • If training virtually download the Zoom App 
  • A certified Personal Trainer from the Town of Caledon will contact you to set up your first appointment

Single Hitting and Partnered Squash

One squash court will be available at the Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness for booking single play hitting or for individuals living in the same household.
