Director Opportunities
Director, Engineering Services
Reporting directly to the Commissioner of Engineering, Public Works and Transportation, the Director, Engineering Services is responsible for the direction of the Engineering Division comprised of Development Engineering, Capital, Water Resources, Energy & Environment Programs. The Director will manage a multimillion-dollar capital and operating budget and provide leadership and expert advice in the delivery of the Town’s engineering functions and services. The incumbent will ensure the delivery of programs and services for a growing community with evolving priorities and infrastructure requirements; ensures compliance with Town standards; directing and reviewing preparation of agreements, tenders, special projects and technical studies, cost effectiveness and recovery, design criteria, construction specifications. The Director will also be responsible for administration, government and public liaison, report compilation, and budget preparation and administration. This leadership role provides direction to a large staff complement of non-union, professional staff, and works closely with the community, Town Council, other levels of government and other Town departments, developing partnerships and key integrated services to provide better value for Caledon and its citizens. The incumbent is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, playing an active role in moving its objectives forward.

Director, Strategic Policy Planning
Reporting to the Commissioner Planning, this role is responsible for corporate leadership and oversight of Strategic Policy Planning of the Planning Department, for the formation and interpretation of land use policies in the Town’s Official Plan. The incumbent will lead the Policy Planning staff, GIS team, and direct strategic priorities through the establishment of a taskforce. The role is critical in ensuring alignment of policies and strategies to guide the future growth of the municipality; for associated public consultation/participation facilitation and presentation and liaison duties; for recruitment, development and evaluation of departmental staff; and driving the long-term planning agenda for the department. The Director will also serve as the Commissioner’s representative in high-level meetings with Council and other key stakeholders such as the Province and the Region of Peel.

Director, Municipal Law Enforcement
Reporting to the Commissioner, Community Services, this role provides corporate leadership and operational oversight of the Municipal Law Enforcement Division, ensuring the effective administration and enforcement of the Town’s regulatory by-laws and community standards. The Director leads divisional staff in setting priorities and service standards, and is responsible for the development, interpretation, and implementation of by-laws related to property standards, zoning compliance, animal services, parking enforcement, licensing, and other municipal regulations. The role ensures enforcement strategies are fair, consistent, and aligned with Council’s strategic objectives, including oversight of complex and sensitive matters, proactive compliance initiatives, and effective public engagement and complaint resolution. The Director is accountable for workforce planning, staff development, and performance management, while advancing innovation and service excellence, and serves as the Commissioner’s representative at Council and in discussions with key stakeholders and external partners.
