Tree Seedling Program

Help grow our tree canopy! The Town of Caledon's Tree Seedling program provides residents with the option to purchase potted trees and bundled seedlings. Since the program's inception, more than 185,912 trees have been distributed to private land owners.

2021 Tree Seedling Program - NOW OPEN

The 2021 Tree Seedling Program offers 12 species of potted trees, 10 species of potted shrubs and extended tree products to Caledon landowners, residents, businesses and schools.

We are accepting orders through the online store until July 30, 2021. Contact us if you need help completing your online order.

How it works

The Tree Seedling Program helps to reduce the local impacts of climate change, improves local air quality and contributes to expanding Caledon’s tree cover and broader provincial tree planting goals. You can participate in the Tree Seedling Program through these easy steps:

  1. Place your order via the online store
  2. Pick up your trees at a later date
2021 Program Updates

Bundled Seedlings

Due to the pandemic and current health and safety measures, the bare-root bundled seedlings are not available. We would be unable to distribute bare-root bundled seedlings in an appropriate time to ensure their survival.

New Products

We're offering a larger variety of deciduous potted stock and, for the first time, potted shrubs! Instead of providing pre-packaged mulch, the Town will be offering mulch mats for sale through the online store. Mulch mats tend to last longer and stay in place, leaving the mulch undisturbed by high winds and decaying wood leaves and chips. Check out our online store for more information.

Payment
Orders can only be processed through the online store, which requires credit card information when you place your order. We do not accept cash or cheques.
Order pick up
The 2021 Tree Seedling Program pick up day is Saturday, August 28 2021. Details will be available closer to the 2021 pickup date. You will need photo I.D. and proof of your Town of Caledon address when you pick up your order.
