Notice of Resident’s Meeting: 19904 Main Street

You are invited to attend a resident’s meeting to discuss the proposed grading and drainage related to conditionally approved consent applications B 017-19 and B 018-19. These applications are applicable to 19904 Main Street in Alton.

Meeting date: April 19, 2023 | Meeting start time: 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Meeting location: Alton Library - Conference Room | 35 Station Street, Alton

The meeting will be chaired by the applicant and will include an explanation of the proposed grading and drainage plan and will follow with a question-and-answer period.

Applicant Information

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the related grading and drainage proposed through consent applications B 017-19 and B 018-19.

The applicant applied for two consent applications (B 017-19 and B 018-19) to create 2 new residential lots at 19904 Main Street in Alton:

  • Application B 017-19 was approved with conditions to sever approximately 1,601 m2 (17,233 ft2) with a lot frontage of approximately 31 metres (101.7 feet) to create a residential lot.  
  • Application B 018-19 was approved with conditions to sever approximately 1,834 m2 (19,741 ft2) with a lot frontage of approximately 35.7 metres (117.13 feet) to create a residential lot.  

The Committee of Adjustment approved the two applications subject to conditions on August 17, 2022. The Committee of Adjustment imposed a condition stating:

“That the Secretary-Treasurer receive written confirmation from Planning staff that the Town and applicant have conducted a public information session with the Alton community to explain the proposed grading and drainage related to this application.”  

The applicant is fulfilling the above condition through this Resident’s Meeting. Please note that these applications have been previously approved by the Committee of Adjustment and the appeal period for these applications have passed. Town staff do not have the ability to change the decision.

Staff has attached the proposed Grading Plan and Aerial Map to the notice is attached.
