A Public Meeting will be held to consider proposed Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, and Subdivision Applications. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community. The Draft Plan of Subdivision application is not subject to a Public Meeting. It is being presented for information purposes, as it was submitted concurrently with the Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment applications.

Please be advised that the Town of Caledon is now offering a Hybrid Committee and Council Meeting model offering options for you to engage with Council, including in-person or virtual opportunities.

 Attend In-Person
Members of the public may register to delegate in-person and speak to an item listed on the agenda or sit in the gallery to watch the meeting. 
 Submit a Written Comments
Members of the public may submit a written comment regarding the proposed application(s) by completing the Participation Request Form, available at http://www.caledon.ca/speak-at-council
 Virtually
Members of the public are welcome to participate via phone or WebEx Meeting upon request. Please note that there are deadlines by which the request to participate need to be made.

Proposed Changes

The applicant is proposing an Official Plan Amendment, Zoning Bylaw Amendment, and Draft Plan of Subdivision to permit the creation of five (5) Estate Residential lots.

The purpose of the Official Plan Amendment is to address the density requirements outlined in the Plan.  

The purpose of the Zoning Bylaw Amendment is to rezone the lands from Rural – Oak Ridges Moraine (A2-ORM) and Environmental Policy Area 2 – Oak Ridges Moraine (EPA2-ORM) to Estate Residential – Exception XXX (RE-XXX) and Environmental Policy Area 1 – Oak Ridges Moraine Zone (EPA1-ORM to protect natural heritage features along the eastern portion of the subject lands.

The proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision seeks the creation of five (5) Estate Residential Lots, a Road Widening Block, and an Environmental Protection Area Block. The proposed development is Phase 2 of the existing Mulloy Court residential subdivision.

 Appeal Procedure

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted and/or before the proposed zoning by-law amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Land Tribunal.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before proposed official plan amendment is adopted and/or before the zoning by-law amendment is passed, and/or in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
