A Public Meeting will be held to consider proposed Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, Draft Plan of Subdivision and Draft Plan of Condominium applications. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.

How to participate

The Town of Caledon offers a hybrid meeting model with multiple ways for members of the public to participate and engage with Council.

Attend In-Person

Members of the public may attend a meeting in-person and provide verbal comments regarding the proposed application(s) or sit in the gallery to watch the meeting. Although registration is not mandatory, members of the public are encouraged to complete the Participation request Form, available at http://www.caledon.ca/speak-at-council

Submit Written Comment

Members of the public may submit written comment regarding the proposed application(s) by completing the participation Request Form, available at http://www.caledon.ca/speak-at-council.

Virtually

Members of the public are welcome to participate via telephone or video conference through WebEx upon request. For more information on how to participate, please complete the Participation Request Form, available at http://www.caledon.ca/speak-at-council. In addition, members of the public can watch meetings through the live stream available on the Town's website.

You can also ask questions or provide comments by:

Proposed Changes

The applicant has applied for an Official Plan Amendment (POPA 2022-0003), Zoning By-law Amendment (RZ 2022-0004), Draft Plan of Subdivision (21T-22003C) and Draft Plan of Condominium (21CDM- 22003C) to facilitate the development of (15) 3-storey townhouse dwelling units on an internal private roadway. The Official Plan Amendment proposes to redesignate the lands from Low Density Residential to Medium Density Residential and Environmental Policy Area. The Zoning By-law Amendment proposes to rezone the lands from Residential One – Exception 56 (R1-56) to Residential Townhouse – Exception XX (RT-XX) with site specific permissions and Environmental Policy Area 1 zone (EPA1). The proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision seeks to establish a residential block, environmental block and a buffer block. The Draft Plan of Condominium seeks to establish common elements condominium including the common element road, sidewalks and parking areas.

Appeal Procedure

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted and/or before the proposed zoning by-law amendment is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision and/or condominium before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision and/or condominium, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Land Tribunal.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before proposed official plan amendment is adopted and/or before the by-law is passed, and/or in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision and/or condominium before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision and/or condominium, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
