Please be advised that the Town of Caledon is now offering a Hybrid Committee and Council Meeting model offering options for you to engage with Council, including in-person or virtual opportunities.Meeting date: November 28, 2022 | Meeting start time: 7 p.m.

Members of the public may participate and learn more about proposed applications and can provide direct input.

 How to listen
  1.  Attend In-Person: Members of the public may register to delegate in-person and speak to an item listed on the agenda or sit in the gallery to watch the meeting. Those registering to attend in-person must show proof of full vaccination and government issued identification, wear a face mask at all times unless delegating, and successfully complete the Town’s COVID-19 screening prior to entering Town Hall.
  2. Virtually: Members of the public are welcome to participate via phone or WebEx Meeting upon request. Please note that there are deadlines by which the request to participate need to be made.

Proposed Changes

The applicant is proposing to amend the Official Plan that will introduce a site-specific policy to facilitate a future severance on an agricultural lot. The lands are proposed to be severed into two parcels, under separate ownership that will be facilitated through a future consent application. Development of the lands are not intended at this time, and the lands will continue to be used for agricultural purposes.

How to stay informed

If you wish to be notified of the adoption or refusal of the proposed Official Plan Amendment, you must make a written request to the Planning Department of the Town of Caledon, 6311 Old Church Road, Caledon, Ontario L7C 1J6 or planning@caledon.ca.

 Appeal Procedure

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Council of the Town of Caledon to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Town of Caledon before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted and/or before the Zoning By-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Town of Caledon before the proposed official plan is adopted and/or before the Zoning By-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
