Caledon’s Business Investment and Attraction Team wins three EDAC Marketing Awards

CALEDON, ON (October 8, 2025) – The Town of Caledon is pleased to announce that it has been recognized with three Marketing Awards from the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC). This national recognition underscores Caledon’s commitment to excellence and innovation in economic development marketing.

The Town was recognized for its outstanding initiatives, including:

  • Caledon Investment Profile 2025 (honoured with the Publications (5 or more pages) Award)
  • Humber River Centre Open House (winner of the new Community Collaboration award)
  • Caledon Studio Tour (recipient of the Single Advertisement award)

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition from EDAC, which highlights the creativity and impact of our economic development and marketing initiatives,” said Eric Lucic, Commissioner of Planning and Development. “These awards underscore our commitment to positioning Caledon as a leading destination for investment, entrepreneurship, and culture.”

About the Winning Projects

Caledon Investment Profile 2025: Developed in-house, this important marketing tool supported Caledon’s international investment attraction efforts, including the June 2025 delegation to Italy. It also informed pitch decks, talking points, and briefing notes for business and agri-food partners. The profile showcases Caledon’s investment narrative, boosting lead generation, partner engagement, and brand awareness locally and globally.

Humber River Centre Open House: Held during Economic Development Week on May 15, 2025, the sold-out event welcomed over 90 attendees and launched Caledon’s first Business Incubator with Toronto Metropolitan University’s DMZ. Panels and breakout sessions with regional partners and DMZ experts showcased the collaborative ecosystem supporting local entrepreneurs.

Caledon Studio Tour: This creative ad, designed by Alton artist Kayla Jackson and published in In the Hills magazine, featured 26 artists, 18 studios, and local landmarks. It elevated Caledon’s cultural profile, contributing to its Culture Days Top 10 ranking in Canada and recognition as an Ontario Culture Days hub municipality for 2025.
