Town of Caledon working to protect essential services

January 7, 2022 – The Town of Caledon is continuing to meet essential municipal service requirements while experiencing increased staff absences due to the Omicron variant. 

“We’re working through COVID-19 challenges impacting our employees such as illness, isolations and caregiving by redeploying staff to areas of greatest need,” said Mayor Allan Thompson. “We’re asking for the public’s patience as they might experience delays in some service areas.”

Town closures due to provincial restrictions

As announced by the province on January 3, 2022, Ontario is temporarily moving to modified step two of the roadmap to reopen. Various Town services and programs will be affected.

Recreation facilities

As of January 5, 2022, Town of Caledon indoor recreation amenities will be temporarily closed and programs and services suspended until further notice. 

Caledon Public Library

Caledon Public Libraries remain open with some restrictions. Visit caledon.library.on.ca/ for information on hours and services.

December 3, 2021 – Town of Caledon Fire & Emergency Service is teaming up again with Caledon Community Services (CCS) to support the ‘Santa Fund’ program ensuring that families and children have food and gifts this holiday season.
