Recognize Caledon’s Finest in Sport: Submit Your Hall of Fame Nomination Today
May 12, 2025 (CALEDON, ON) – The Town of Caledon is thrilled to announce that nominations for the 2026 Caledon Sport Hall of Fame are now open. Help celebrate the outstanding athletes, dedicated builders and unforgettable teams who have shaped Caledon’s rich sporting legacy, by submitting a nomination. Categories include:
- Athlete
- Builder
- Team
The Caledon Sport Hall of Fame (CSHOF) was established in 2018. The hall was created as a place to recognize, memorialize, and celebrate the accomplishments of Caledon athletes, builders and teams, living or passed on, who have excelled at the community, provincial, national and international level(s). The CSHOF has a dedicated space on the second floor of the Caledon East Community Complex.
To qualify, nominees for all categories must have:
- Been born in Caledon; or
- Maintained residency in Caledon for a minimum of five consecutive years; or
- Been raised or spent their formative years (through training, competing, or working) in Caledon.
“Earlier this year, we had the honour of welcoming eight amazing inductees into our Sport Hall of Fame — a special moment that emphasized Caledon’s rich sports history,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “Now, as we gear up for the 2026 class, we’re looking forward to seeing new nominations that display the passion, dedication, and excellence you find in our community.”
